Sentience Patents

Team Name: Sentience Patents

IDEAS Project Pitch: Entrepreneurs that have the ability to patent technologies can increase their chance to raise venture capital by 50%, double their chance of an IPO, and create more compelling customer presentations while protecting their ideas against unprotected disclosure. However, underserved communities are often blocked from obtaining a timely substantive patent. Thus, our venture aims to solve this issue by matching entrepreneurs in under-represented communities with pro-bono patent attorneys supervising MIT students who are paid by the entrepreneur to document their invention and by lowering the upfront cost of attaining a patent in the field of software patents.
